“Vidya Tho Paatu Viluvalu Nerpudam” – At a time when children’s overall growth and development have been forced to the backseat and marks and ranks have gained prominence, this quote is a breath of fresh air from the incredible Sri Kudupuri Srinivas , the founder of SriKashyap Vidyaaniketan School;
a place where values as well as academic excellence are given equal importance.
Born and brought up in Vizag, Mr. Srinivas, who did his MSc (maths), M Phil and B.Ed from Andhra University, had always dreamt of transforming the art of education since his student days. He finally got a chance to be a part of change with his role as maths faculty in Bullayya College, where he spent more than 5 years teaching students and also learning how best to attract students towards maths. His success in sparking the interest of students led him to being presented with the Best Faculty Award for 2002 in Bullayya College.
But his true aspirations lay someplace else, Mr. Srinivas had always wanted to create an aptitude for eager learning and curiosity in children, but he couldn’t find such an atmosphere in schools in Vizag. Thus, he decided to take the plunge in 2005 and started his own school SriKashyap Vidyaaniketan to give Corporate education with an affordable fees structure to his hometown. Starting on a humble note with just 188 students and 15 staff members , SriKashyap has expanded rapidly with more than 2000 students now.Under the innovative guidance of Sri K.Srinivas The teachers here have not only been helping children through providing excellent academic education , but also spiritual knowledge through Moral stories and service oriented activities inculcating principles in children – An ode to Mr. Srinivas’ purpose behind establishing a school.
However, what sets this school apart from others is its emphasis on giving affordable education to children. So that, parents don’t have to hesitate to send their children to a school that will take their dream forward!
All of this is but the tip of the Iceberg of Mr. Srinivas’ life, the rank holders from his school can be seen as a testimony to his passion.
